Connect an AI assistant

What it does

Connect an assistant and ask it about your stores in plain English: why sales moved, which stores need attention, or what AI COO sent this morning.

You need a Franlever sign-in and a workspace with a connected POS. The assistant sees what your role sees, and no more.

ChatGPT and Codex

  1. Open the Franlever plugin in ChatGPT.
  2. Choose Install plugin, then sign in to Franlever and approve access.
  3. Ask about your stores in any chat.

Codex uses the same plugin. Install it from /plugins in the Codex CLI, or from the ChatGPT desktop app.

Business and Enterprise workspaces may need an admin to allow the plugin first.

Claude

  1. Open Franlever in Claude's connector directory.
  2. Choose Connect, then sign in to Franlever and approve access.
  3. In a chat, open +, then Connectors, and turn Franlever on.

On Team and Enterprise, an owner may need to allow Franlever first under Organization settings, then Connectors.

Cursor and Grok

Both connect to Franlever's MCP server by its address. In Franlever, open Settings, then AI assistants, and choose the assistant for its steps.

  • Cursor. Choose Add to Cursor, then Connect next to Franlever in Cursor's Tools & MCP settings.
  • Grok. Add a custom connector at grok.com/connectors with the MCP URL and the client ID shown in Franlever.

What an assistant can and cannot do

  • Read sales, orders, average ticket, hourly labor, reviews and waste, with daily history for a store.
  • Read the signals behind a lever, and the levers and briefs AI COO has sent.
  • Read hourly coverage, channel mix, weekday patterns and product mix.

Access is read-only, and Franlever's database enforces it. An assistant cannot change settings, send a message, answer a lever or reply to a review.

General managers who receive AI COO texts have no Franlever sign-in, so they cannot connect an assistant.

Disconnect

Disconnect Franlever in the assistant's own connector or plugin settings, or revoke it in Franlever under Settings, then AI assistants. To turn assistant access off for a whole workspace, contact us.
