Hourly labor

What it is

Hourly labor is the wages of hourly staff, from your POS time punches, as a share of sales. It is the cost a manager can change shift to shift.

It is not your fully loaded labor figure. Payroll taxes, benefits and salaries are not in a POS punch, so this number will look lower than the labor line in your accounts. Compare it with itself over time, not with that line.

Salaried staff

Salaried staff add hours but no hourly cost. Franlever uses your POS's own salaried flag, not a guess from a pay rate.

A missing pay rate

If an hourly employee has no pay rate, Franlever prices the shift at that store's own typical rate for the same job, and marks the day as an estimate.

If there is nothing to estimate from, the day's cost is withheld and the page says why. Franlever would rather show no figure than an understated one. Fixing the pay rate in your POS fixes it here.
