Tell AI COO when the brief missed

Two taps and a sentence under every brief. It changes what leads, never what is true.

Every brief now ends with two taps and room for a sentence. Owners and corporate readers can say when a morning landed and when it missed, and AI COO uses the last two weeks of answers to shape the next briefs.

Where it is

  • In the app, the feedback sits at the foot of each brief, under the signature.
  • In an owner's or corporate reader's email, it is two links under the signature. Each one opens a short page that records the rating and lets you add a sentence.

The page records your answer as soon as it opens and stays changeable afterwards. Email security scanners sometimes open links on their own; if one does, you can still correct the result.

One answer per reader, per brief

Each reader has one answer per brief, and it can change. Tap in the inbox and explain later in the app, and it lands as one considered answer rather than two. A rating with no comment never wipes a comment you already left. A changed rating starts fresh, without carrying the old one's reasoning.

The sentence is the valuable half. "You keep leading with discounts, labor is the one I care about" tells AI COO far more than any number of thumbs.

What feedback changes

AI COO reads the last fortnight of feedback for that brand's brief. It is per brief on purpose: one AI COO runs per brand, and a franchisee's view of their brief says nothing about the corporate one.

Feedback is treated as preference. It can change:

  • Which finding leads the brief
  • What is left out for brevity
  • How things are worded

What it never changes

Feedback is never treated as an instruction or a fact. It cannot:

  • Create, remove or reprice a finding
  • Override an evidence figure
  • Change who a lever belongs to

A measured, current finding stays in the brief however the reader feels about the subject. A brief that quietly drops a real problem because someone found it annoying is worse than no brief, and trusting the brief depends on it never doing that.

The brief also never quotes your feedback back, mentions ratings, or thanks you for them. You'll see the effect in what leads, not in a note about it.

GMs aren't asked

GMs answer one thing: their lever, with DONE, LATER or WRONG, or a question in their own words. Two questions in one message is how neither gets a reply, and there is no account behind a GM's address to record it against. So GM copies carry no feedback links.

Manage notifications

Every email a signed-in reader receives also carries a Manage notifications link in the footer, which goes straight to the delivery settings. GM emails don't, because a GM's delivery is set by their store's owner.

Common questions

How do owners give feedback on a Franlever brief?
Use the feedback control on the brief to say whether it was useful. Feedback belongs to that reader and that brief, so different recipients can have different views of the same morning.
Does brief feedback change the underlying store numbers?
No. Feedback helps Franlever understand how useful the brief was; it does not rewrite source records or change the evidence behind a store comparison.
Is owner brief feedback the same as a GM’s DONE reply?
No. Owner feedback evaluates the brief. A GM’s DONE, LATER, or WRONG reply reports their response to a store lever. They answer different questions.
Can I change notifications without rating a brief?
Yes. Manage delivery preferences in the notification settings. Rating a brief is feedback about its usefulness, rather than a request to stop receiving it.
